Gong Bath Training

MEET THE ALUMNI

One of the key reasons I created this course is to make sure there is a community of ethical, knowledgeable and highly skilled sound practitioners in London and abroad.

I also swore to myself I would do everything I can to help my students turn their fascination for sound into a professional calling that allows them to be of service to others whilst manifesting a good Life with plenty of resources, space and time to also enjoy their time on earth.

I am intense, the course is intense, and I give a lot. Therefore, I expect a lot from my students. Luckily, I have been graced with wonderful beings who did the work and are continuing to do so with the kind of professionalism that is so sorely needed today.

Without further due, please meet some of the alumnis from my 200-Hour Naad Yoga, Yoga of Sound Teacher Training. They have facilitated sound baths at Pace Gallery, Amazon, Annabel’s, 180 Strand, Natural History Museum, The Mandrake Hotel, Troxy, Triyoga, Indaba, Battersea Yoga, Stretch, BLOK, East of Eden, Pushkin House, Soul Circus Festival, Wasinga Festival, Medicine Festival, and many more.

Some of them now have a full-time sound career, and others part-time. I encourage them to do what they want to do and help them on their journey, even after graduation.

I create and hold sacred space to encourage us to slow down and connect deeply to the true essence by being still, taking time to just be and reflect by using conscious awareness through yoga, breathing and sound.

When we take time to slow down and listen we can hear our deep inner knowing telling us exactly what we need moment to moment.

If we were to think of time as space, the space between when something starts and something finishes, that is where the healing lies. If we can learn to melt into that space and cultivate stillness then all expectations fall away, the ego cannot exist and instead of us chasing experiences, the experience of being present, knowing you are enough and that every part of you is welcomed is more than enough. The light does not exist without the shadow. Knowing that anything that comes up is there to be looked at with compassion and love so you can help heal old trauma, creating space for new patterns and behaviour in a gentle and kind way.

Be patient with yourself on your journey, you have come so far already. Just wait for what is to come.

With my ever expanding percussion perfusion, I believe a soundscape should be a totally submersible experience so I bring sound, lights and scents to expand the senses. I always say to those who choose to come to my sessions, not to judge, but to come with an open heart, soul and mind. You are the enabler of your own healing; I merely hold the space that helps transport you on your own journey.

In her sessions, Julia works with intention and deep compassion. As a former designer, she has navigated her focus back towards sound and healing work. She draws upon different studies like Naad Yoga (the yoga of sound), 200hrs triyoga teacher training, reiki 1+2, medicinal astrology, shamanic homeopathy, other intuitive practices.

I help you get comfortable with being still and letting go of whatever you’re carrying that you no longer need. And if the thought of that seems impossible, it’s because you’re so used to The Noise of modern life or the impossible standard of feeling good all the time.

I get it.

And I’ve got you.

Music & sound have always fascinated me. When I attended to a sound bath in Dubai in 2015, it enchanted me. I decided to join another teacher training called Naad Yoga (Yoga of Sound) with Leo Cosendai. Since then I work with different sound instruments and offer weekly sound journeys in my yoga room followed by a soup tasting in Hamburg.

Meditation is something I previously found challenging, I found it hard to control my thoughts which left me frustrated. Sound meditation makes meditation more accessible by creating an experience where the frequencies and vibrations of the instruments help you reach the same relaxed and calm states. I feel balanced and more focused which in turn has made my own personal meditation and breathwork practice stronger.

I want to share the tools with you that not only transformed my mindset and helped me create a better structure and lifestyle, but the tools that also brought happiness and reduced my stress and anxiety.

Naturally, I was drawn to study Naad Yoga (Yoga of Sound) and I now host ‘sound baths’ – immersive sound experiences – an accessible and powerful way to meditate.

Together, we’ll make space to tune in.

I am a vinyasa yoga teacher and sound meditation facilitator, available for one-to-ones and group sessions. In the sound baths I lead sound, with all its curves and waves, nooks and crannies becomes a dance of discovery that awakens the senses and relaxes the mind. As the vibrations shimmy through the body, what was feeling knotted and tight and full of resistance is soothed open by the wordless purity of sound. Long after the actual sounds subside, you will still feel the reverberation and the benefits.

I facilitate regular gong baths and workshops in London and truly believe in the transformational power of the gong. The penetrating vibrations of this ancient tool are an effective meditation tool, one that silences our overactive monkey-brains and one that brings about mystical and otherworldly experiences. Let the gong, with its mighty roar and gentle whisper guide you. Let it touch your heart and remind your soul of home.
